Meccanotecnica Umbra's goal has always been to implement production processes that are friendly to internal and external environment, protecting it and adapting our organization and operating methods to the requirements of the reference standards. The formal process was initiated in 1999 by obtaining certification of our environmental management system under the ISO 14001 standard. In 2007, we took a further step forward that demonstrates the company's social responsibility and commitment to combine economic results with environmental protection: compliance with the European EMAS regulations.

The level of maturity gained in recent years has allowed the Group to implement an Integrated Environmental and Safety Management System (IMS) with the overriding goal of harmonizing corporate development with full respect for all stakeholders. The priority is that of continuously improving environmental performance and occupational health and safety.

In March 2014, our long-standing policy of combining business and values was consolidated with OHSAS 18001 certification.
